I started working on this model mainly as an excuse to further my knowledge on raytrace rendering pipelines. I had initially looked at furthering my Mental Ray knowledge, but switched to V-Ray midway through mainly due to its excellent car shader.
The design itself is based around several of Audi's production models including the TT, R8, and A4, mixed with some of its concept cars.
The model is still largely a work in progress, with the back end currently being midway through a redesign (as can be seen from the lack of tail lights). Further down the page are a 2 shots featuring earlier design iterations.
